Join the Bruce Peninsula Biosphere Association for hands-on ecological conservation and restoration of an important watercourse, Albemarle Brook. Albemarle Brook flows continuously through our unique karst limestone landscape, feeding Sky Lake, the Rankin River system, the Sauble River, and ultimately Lake Huron at Sauble Beach.
We are completing the fourth and final phase of this long-term initiative in partnership with a local agricultural landowner, supported by funding from the Natural Infrastructure Fund. Cattle exclusion fencing is now in place—and by planting a healthy riparian buffer zone, we will stabilize streambanks, prevent erosion, and stop nutrient and sediment runoff from entering the watercourse.
We need your help with tree and shrub planting along the banks of the Albemarle Brook!
